what is it?and do I need it? by watsons photos, on Flickr
Trying to upgrade to a louder horn and this was in the way. Came from below the triple clamp( i think that's what it's called) between the front fender and the instrument panel. 2007 S2R 800 Monster. Can I live without this, or should I just find another place for the horn?
Thanks

They call it a 'smoke deflector' and no you don't need it.

Thank you very much. I will add it to the ever growing parts box of things that come off of my Ducati.

That's the theme, as soon as you buy them you start taking parts off!  laughingdp

I just read a post where a guy took somewhere around 40 lbs worth of unneeded weight off his bike.  Shocked

Then the mod bug kicks in and you start throwing obscene amounts of money back at it.  [shrug]

C'mon, you should know there's no money in cures.

My GF just looks at me and says "do whatever you want, it's your money...............but, I'd rather go to France". It's her idea of a guilt trip.  Roll Eyes

the only way you could possibly take her with a clear mind to europe is if your bike is completely dialed in to your satisfaction . . . then, and only then, could you go and actually have fun. she should understand that.
