I really just cruise around town nothing really big yet, when I have more time and money id like to get something i could do a long haul on.  For the time being though I am really just interested in style and power, plus ill still have my monster if i decide to go any further then the nearest coffee shop.

the streetfighter will be much more fun around town and has the potential to be a long haul bike as well (tail/tank bag, custom cushy seat and perhaps some bar risers to swap in and out for the long trips).

as amazingly badass as the 1199 will be, if you arent looking to do 90% hard twisties and track time you are really looking in the wrong direction.

unless you NEED an absurd amount of power or you can find a great deal on a used F1098, I would look hard at the 848 SF.  Its going to be the funnest bike of the 3 for sure.

SF is not and cannot be a long haul bike unless you add the word "agonizing" between long and haul.

I would have thought the SF would not be so bad for long rides.  The handle bar positioning does not seem to be hard on the back.  Kind of reminds of my Triumph Speed triple if I am not mistaken.

I envy those that have SF, it's my dream bike.

620M 2004 Dark i.e.; ~ 57K miles (all me);  Looking to swap out engine now.
Triumph Speed Triple 2006 (now ~ 44K miles bought @ 4K miles on 04/2010)
Honda Grom 2015 ~ 3500miles so far.  Love this lil bike
