Changed my chain and noticed the cone spacer is very worn the sprocket bolts have rubbed slightly on the swingarm.

Where can buy new cone spacer other than ordering from ducati? Thanks!

Howie

That spacer should not wear, or even turn.  Photos and model/year?  Please show the order of the spacers.

It almost has to be in backwards....

ditto
large side goes toward swingarm
when i bought my ST4s a Duc dealer had just installed new tires and left it out completely !!
Call several of the larger dealers and you'll find one in stock somewhere.

Thanks for the replies -- It is a 2000 Monster 900i.e. Bought it used with 17k miles.

The cone spacer is worn down and hardly a cone anymore so was probably installed wrong and was turning and rubbing on the swing arm at some point. I understand  that the cone side goes in toward the wheel bearing and the flat side toward the swing arm.

I want to get a new one - if the ducati dealer is the best place to find a replacement I will order and wait and wait and wait  [coffee]

You should check the swing arm for damage too.

Dealers can get parts pretty quickly most times.

I get stuff from mine within a week unless there is a back order or it's August.

Sweet jebus - that should not have happened. I've got a 2000 headed towards 36K and aside from a different coating my spacer still looks like the one on the right. I'd have a good look at the swing arm, sprocket carrier, bearings, axle, caliper carrier and caliper.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.
