I need to remove the rear and front wheels on my Monster 620 to get the tires changed then put them back on. I found a great tutorial in this section on doing this for the front wheel with a complete step by step and lots of pictures but nothing for the rear wheel. I've been looking but cant find one here. If anyone knows of a thread with step by step and pics or video can you post the link please?

From our sponsor, California Cycleworks:

Your rear axle is slightly different, bigger and one nut, also a higher torque spec, 83 Nm.

Different schools of thought on wheel alignment, I use a tape measure and go from the center of the swing arm pivot to the center of the axle and make sure it is equal on both sides.  Either will work.  You can also buy expensive, blingy tools like this  http://www.bikebandit.com/profi-laser-bike-alignment-tool?WT.mc_id=1484958&CAWELAID=338419097   [bang] or  http://www.muzzys.com/catalog/tools.html  (scroll down) or  http://stores.ebay.com/Thomas-Performance-Motorcycle-Parts/Laser-Chain-Alignment-Tools-/_i.html?_fsub=3489370018  Most of us agree you shouldn't trust the marks on the axle.

Does it matter which wheel I remove first? Front or back?

That CA Cycleworks "How to" for rear tire change doesnt mention applying grease to the rear axle. Is that a given? I know I saw it on the Front Tire Replacement thread. Can I safely assume that both front and rear axles should be lightly greased with silicone grease? How about LocTite should that be used in any of the bolts when putting the wheels and calipers back on?

According to service manual, moly grease on threads of the shaft and face of shaft nuts. Wheel shaft nut is 83 Nm. Rear brake caliper retaining screws are 24 Nm with moly grease, chain adjuster screw is 8 Nm, chain sliding shoe retainer is 6 Nm. Only the chain sliding shoe retainer gets Loctite 222 (purple).
