New Levers, What Color?
«

So I dropped my bike the other day
Forgot to put the kickstand down before attempting to get off the bike. This shows you even after riding for so many years, stuff like this can still happen. Anyways. The clutch lever and shifter is bent.
Bar end mirror loosened. Besides that, there were no other damage. Count myself lucky. I took both the clutch lever and shifter off and bent it back. I've been thinking of some ebay levers. What color combo do you think I should get? I have a Red M696
-Black levers, Red Dial
-Gold levers, Red Dial
- Red levers, Black Dial

CRG just released a new lever so you can find closeout prices on their older lever models. You can get a pair for $125 here:
http://www.shop.kyleusa.com/product.sc;jsessionid=5860366C56E758001CF4DD7DE130FAD6.qscstrfrnt03?productId=244&categoryId=53
These are the older roll a click ones and look like this:
FYI I have nothing against the eBay levers, I have them on my bike. But I got myself a pair of the CRGs cos I think the price is good.

I'd go black/red dial. If you are concerned with the black fading to purple, go with titanium/silver with red dial.

Ended up with cheap ebay levers.
The anodizing color will probably fade over time but at $35 a pop, I'll just keep buying them. They are easy enough to change out.
