Any one know of a good cheep place to get tank repairs done in Colorado. I have two medium sized dents where the handle bars came into the tank when dropped. I would like to get them repaired. I will do the paint. I have even thought of evening out the dents to look the same. I kinda like the look off them and the way they allow the bars to turn in tighter.

Well thats two very different skill sets. Reshaping the tank to have divots is different than filling them.

For repair it depends on how bad they are - if the aren't too bad you can just fill and shape them, and have done. If they are worse off, then a competent body shop would be able to do the work - though tracking one down that does bike tanks wouldn't be a bad notion. I'd try looking up places that work on harley/do customs and see if they have any recommendations.

On the bad ones they would be using weld on studs to attach a slide hammer and pull the dents as best as possible. Then you would still need to fill and shape as you'll never be able to pull the dent back to original form.
