G'Day All,
Any suggestions on where to start looking for issue.
I installed DP tacho and speedo I got from BlackKat a couple of days ago.
Took the bike for a test today.
All good up to about 6k rpm.
Very noticable hesitation when I crack the throttle open at these revs..
If I gently roll the throttle on no issue.
I run DP pies snorkels removed from airbox with K& N filter., yet to install the stage 2 jet kit.
New exactfit coils
No fuel petcock.
thanks

Stock exhaust?

The bike was lean from the factory, and removing the snorkels made it leaner.

Install the kit before you get too worried.

#2
Not stock exhaust, ducati performance remus pipes not pies
Edit: this issues was not evident before fitting the tacho, so am questioning whether it is a connection to coil issue.
I haven't ridden the bike for about 4 weeks so the possibility of some carb issue not immediately discounted

The issue is most definitely jetting.

With just the snorkels removed I think I'd start with the smallest jets in the kit.

Is it Dyno-Jet or Factory Pro?

I personally like the Dyno-Jet, but as always you realize what they say about opinions.  ;)

Dynojet kit but have factory pro needle jet holders

The needle jets will be fine.

I like the Dyno-Jet needle taper and the springs over the Factory.

Let us know how you make out.

if the tach assembly is loose, it can and often will affect the ignition signal for whichever cylinder it's connected to. I actually had a similar problem, which to me was fairly obvious from the start because the tach sometimes would stick or jump around a little. after a quick inspection, I simply tightened the 3 nuts on the back of the tach, problem solved. those 3 nuts hold the assembly together, including the electrical connections between the guage itsself and the circuitboard inside

It's possible, but the fact the bike revs past 6K on a gentle roll on says jetting to me.

I've been wrong before.  ;D

Was the tach installed after the snorkels were removed?  Same with the coils.  Yep, I agree with Nate.  If you don't open the airbox the stage II might be a little rich.
