Carb Rebuild Question

Greetings!

Those of you that have rebuilt your carbs:  Does anyone recall (approx.)how many turns it took to seat the air screw?  I have a 95 900M.

I made a note of how many turns out to keep the original setting (3 1/2) once seated.  I ask because one side seems to seat before the other.

If it ran well at 3 1/2 turns out start with that and tune from there.

Aim for the fastest and strongest idle when adjusting the idle mixture screw for that sweet spot.
