Ducati sold 35,300 bikes in 2006, and 42,200 bikes by the end of 2011

The over 500cc market is down 4% year-to-date

Ducati’s US market sales increased 48% in May

Ducati’s Asian market sales were up 238% last month

238% increase in Asia. Guess the 795 is working out for them

Nice! waytogo

I'm glad to see Ducati thriving in this economy.  Now if they would just fix the Streetfighter 1198 I might buy another new Ducati.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

The over 500cc market is down 4% year-to-date

That stands out like a sore thumb… Are Ducati currently making any sub 500cc bikes? Or is this particular figure "industry wide"? Or are all the other numbers cherry-picked to say "sales are up (but without mentioning that's only if you just compare May '11 and '12)", when the truth is sales are down 4%?
