So I've found a leak on my S2R100 and it appears to be my cam drive.  I've never taken off pulleys from this bike so I'm wondering if anyone here has ever replaced the seal on an A/C Monster cam drive (you know, the one in the middle that drives the belts that head to the cam)

Anything?

it's pretty easy and straightforward, you do need to buy the special tool to get the gears off though. the tool set is over $100 from ducati, but I paid like $40 shipped on ebay for a US made one that worked perfect on my bike.

the manual will usually say you need to split the cases and remove the shaft from the engine to replace that seal. you do not need to do this. you can simply remove the gears, and use a small seal puller or flat blade screwdriver or something to pull the seal off. just make sure you do not score or scratch the shaft. then just slide the new seal over the shaft and push it down into place and reassemble the gears and belts, and you're good to go

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
