Hi guys/gals,

My rear brake caliper is position below the swingarm, and I wanted to move it up above the swingarm as well as utilizing that hole for the speedo sensor.  Do this bracket from the later model such as 695 work?

My bike is 2000 M750 (carb)

I wanted to do the same with my bike (2000 M750)  I dont think you can utilize that hole for the speedo sensor.  Your speedo is mechanically driven by the speedo cable from the front wheel.

I dont think there is any advantage of it being swung up.  Only thing I can think of is that you can bleed the rear caliper easier.  Otherwise I think it just looks like its in the way.  Better down low in my opinion.

The underslung does look better IMO, but a bugger to bleed alright.

Understood..but i forgot to add that im switching to an aftermarket gauge with the speedo sensor using a magnet..kinda like the trailtech vapor.

I dont like the mounting up front though.

I think the thing that'll get you is the axle size. Your, and my, bikes have a smaller diameter rear axle than newer bikes. We've got 17mm axles, the 695 has 25mm.

If you got a sleeve made, then it should work.

Check your swing arm for a lug that corresponds to that slot - it prevents the bracket from rotating.

You caliper will fit - DSS monsters used the same rear caliper for a long while. My 900 is fit with one from a 620 now, as the old one locked a piston.

You will need a new brake line - or possibly one off a 620/695/800/1000 etc.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

remove the caliper, put a block of wood between the pads and bleed away.  good time to clean and inspect too.  not so bad..
