Questions about the Triumph Tiger 800?

Does anyone have one? Good? Bad?
I'm looking at a 2016 Tiger XC. It has less than 3k on the odometer. Comes with hard bags and all of the engine guards and upgraded skid plate. It basically has everything the XC-A has except the riding modes.
Being sold by original owner. He had the first service done at 800 miles, and had kept the oil fresh since then.
Other than new tires (the current shoes are original... Plenty of tread, but.....original) what should I be on the lookout for? There is no indication that the bike has ever been dropped. Heck, if not for the ODO, there is very little indication that the bike has ever been ridden.
He's asking 8k. I've offered 6k, and at this point we are just kind of flirting. Bike has been on the market for at least 3 months.
Talk me into it, or talk me out of it... It's time for me to change my riding position if I am going to continue enjoying a motorcycle.

2016 and original tires? You need tires due to age.
