Those of us DC residents who do a lot of riding/driving in VA may want to be aware of this situation:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/dc-politics/dc-drivers-hurt-by-tough-interpretation-of-va-offenses/2012/07/30/gJQAzPbBLX_story.html

I suspect the DC Council will take some action to address the issue (i.e., to change the definition and/or penalties associated with a reckless offense), particularly now that it's been highlighted in The Post, but in the meantime this could easily catch one of us up in its net, so be vigilant.

Jeebus.  I will keep that in mind when driving/riding in Va for now.
