OK guys, Hello from Russia, I am glad to join forum but I have a bad reason for that.
My bike is 1.5 old, and 8500KM. I purchased it when it had 8000KM.
I was going 60MPH on highway when recently my engine died.. I restarted bike, then it died again after 30 seconds of running. Again and again and display was showing COIL error.
Well, I got my bike to the city, restarting it every time until my battery became low. Then system started restarting and "0003 ersw" message came up.
Well, I checked forum and was thinking that the problem is in swapped wires on V and\or O coils, but it was ok, brown on 2. Soooo.. I changed sparks, one was little bit wet one was dry.
Engine starts and cut offs in 20 seconds.
All  fuses are ok, I disconnected and reconected most cables.
Once display gave INJE error and Starter error.
What can it be?
Some people believe that it is "gas pump",  thing that feeds cylinders with gasoline? I don't know how it called on English, my tech English is not really good, I am sorry.

P.S.
And also i hear "detonation" sounds, I guess, when I release throttle. It sound funny like exhaust spits something, but I heard that it is not good. [not fixed, i believe it is related to my trouble]

And also some times a cant shift down when i stop. I press down 4 or 5 times when i am on 3rd gear, Then I press Up then down, and finaly i get to first, then to neutral. What is the problem. [not related and solved]

And I hear strange noise sometimes, when i stop with rear brake and clutch pulled. It is not bad sound, but it sounds like gear goes down. I believe i should not hear that noise. What is it?[it is chain, fixed]

I want to keep my beloved bike in good fit and don't wait untill something will brake :(

P.P.S. This is my first bike.

Some help needed guys.
I visited workshop and my friend got the issue fixed. I was amazed how smooth my bike become. It was so good for 100km but then...again.
No errors for now, but bike goes very bad. I can't even go down from hill without adding a throttle. Engine slows down bike at any gear. I have to accelerate then pull clutch, or constantly add throttle to get it move. It comes very hot 3-4 bars in 30 minutes, I know it is wrong and it is not because of 100F temperature outside, it is just wrong. It feels like I ride 70MPH on 1st gear when i go only 10-15m, release throttle and bike will stop. Brakes are fine, when i pull clutch bikes goes and don't stops so hard.

What is the problem?

Ok  - first stay on topic. You've got 4 different questions you're working through. It could get very confused in here.

Next - there was a recall on the 696 for coils being installed incorrectly. Running a search on here should get you more details on that. If you have not investigated to see if your bike was effected by this recall - you should.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

The main question is what the hell is happening.

I did search and investigation. It is not swapped wires.
Bike was ok after it was fixed by local master, now it is almost in coma again, it is back to crappy mode again , and I guess it is not because of someone messed up wires when i was going 70mph on highway yesterday.

Check these things

Battery
Regulator
Stator (generator)
Throttlebodies (air leaks)
Fuel filter

Hi there!
I checked with local technicians, they stated that they don't know.. They stated that bike do has problems, ignition related or throttlebodies related. They sent me to computer diagnostics master who will try to make diagnostics without Ducati tester device...

What will happen if i will swap coil wiring? I am asking it because people on this forum had problem with it, but my bike looks like it has fixed wiring but acts like it is not. Will hurt the bike engine, is it safe?

Well, thanks for you answer.
I tried make a video, but i have just audio, i recorded it after ride and engine was well warmed up, 1300 revs on neutral.
You can hear how bad is my bike's engine
It might be misfire, tomorrow i will try to switch wires, even if they look like fixed.

Today I swapped wires on coils, so now they are like in wiring scheme. There were not bent like someone tried to swap them before. Bike started to act better. Better acceleration, quicker throttle response, but i believe it is not the end of hassle.
Bike can't go on 1 gear without adding a throttle or getting clutch to friction zone. It goes 5MPH but it is hard for him and he wants to stall.
When I was testing bike after wire swap engine died couple times but i thought it is empty tank.
I filed it up and took a hour ride. Engine stopped few times on red light while i was on neutral, revs just were slowly dropping until they got to 900 and stop.. I started to feel random push ups while
In the end of my ride i felt like bike became act worse. Actually not like it was before wire swap but worse.
I getting tired of it..

cycle your bike through the on-off-on-off-on-off without touching the throttle or starter. just the key turn.
that's a throttle sensor reset.

kokis

Thank you so much for you reply, I will try it.
I had a small ride once again, it goes ways better but I guess engine has misfire on 4k, the mostly used revs diapason ... Well, let's try throttle sensor reset.

Throttle sensor made no difference. Engine stall just after reset:D
Well, I am sure that now I have coil wires in wrong possition. The joke is it goes better with wrong wiring than with correct one.

Well, i found a specialist.
He explained everything.
He tested electrics and even after polarity switch on coil(mine had no error), electrics are fine, no serious faults.
But something bad in fuel system.
Lambda sensor reads that fuel burnt badly and ECU gives another mix of fuel, which cause more faulty readings on lambda and over and over again, And bike start to defend to bad conditions and defend may go up to disabling one of cylindres. Bike still runs but it runs just to make rider to get it to service workshop.
He will fix errors, I will keep you informed.

I can't help with your main problem but comments on two other issues.
#1  It is common for your bike to run at 3 to 4 bars.  I sometimes see 5 bars on 100 degree F days and it runs ok.

#2  - finding neutral from a stop   -  I have the same problem  -  best cured by shifting down to neutral before coming to a stop.  Otherwise you can accelerate a few inches in each gear until you can down shift to neutral.

Best luck with your main problem

Hi guys,
Finaly, it purrs not roars. The issue was with fuel system. Bad gasoline messed up whole system. Mechanic used special moto\boat fuel cleaning liquid to clean up. Now I just need to carry pair of sparks for next 600miles, cleaner(not actualy a cleaner, but smoke grease that comes out from engine) spoils sparks. And I will have to change oil, oil filter and fuel filter next 600 miles. I swapped back coil wiring to original position. It really impacts performance, all DM696 owners should check their coil wiring and find a good mechanic that will inspect bike. I checked many local service centers and most of them was like "I dunno, it might be ..., let's disassemble engine and try to maintain it"
I don't know about USA service centers but Russian\Ukraine service centers are just do nothing.

Yep, just roll back and forward with your foot and you will hear that gears connected.
