Has anyone else noticed the owners manual says 2.2 bar for the rear tire which is (I think) it just below 32 psi but the frame label say 36.9. What pressure do you run in the rear tire?

Dirty Duc

Well, mine is the baby version... but I run 40 psi in the rear... and 36-38 in the front.

I run 32-33 front and 34-35 rear on my S2r 1000.

I've always run 32 front and 34 -36 rear. I used this on all my road bikes. These are cold pressures, never had any trouble with these pressures.

This is about what I run on street bikes as well. I go up a couple pounds if I plan on doing a bunch of slab riding.

sofadriver

Right. The frame sticker pressures are for riding at the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) which is an absurd amount of weight.
I noticed the other day that the Gross VEHICLE Weight Rating on my little SS is 1140 lbs!!  :o
That's 755 lbs more than the bike weighs!

Depends on a pillion
For me front 33
Back  34- 35

Pillion front 33
Back 36

I dont change it much mainly because the wife is the only person who goes on the back, and she's tiny.
