Hi All,

I'm new member here, owned S4R 2003 with all OEM. I'm considering to upgrade exhaust system. I found Termig full system with new ECU&Air filter with $17xx , while Zard full system (but no ECU) costs the same!!

I wonder why Zard costs the same as Termig with new ECU? Any difference in performance?

Can you guys share your experience? THANKS!!

termis are certainly popular but i have heard from more than one source *(including LT snyders writings)
that their fit and finish is really subpar considering the price

never heard a bad word about the zards. but then you have to add on a PC or something

i think it comes down to personal preference. Youre bike will sound mean either way,
but if it were me, id go zards! everyones got termis!

Thanks, Redial. I have heard about Termig about its finish too.

Any other comments, I really need experiences from all experts ..  :D

What about a full Arrow system and have your ECU reprogrammed? Or a full Remus if you like the look of one can on each side. I've had both systems and the both have great fit, finish, and sound. I can dig up pictures of both if you want, and they should both be a little less than the Termi system if you shop around.

The price for "your" full Termi/ECU/airbox is quite low, I think. [thumbsup]

It's possible to make a Zard plus PC work, but the Ducati Performance ECU is working very well.
Ducati Performance know a thing or two about tuning Ducatis and their products are usually spot on.

Just my opinion. There are more than my opinion to consider.

Just go w/ which one you think looks nicer for the price.  All the same unless you will be racing.  Both will give you nice deep sound and performance.  However,  if you get the Zards try to get them w/ the removable baffles.  I have Zards and after a while they got too loud for my taste so I popped a baffle back in and the noise level is just right. I still wear earplugs though;  hearing goes away very slowly and doesn't come back so yeah.

The Zards (like most others stainless steal pipes i believe) will brown on you.  To avoid this you have to clean them consistently w/ WD-4 or Brasso.  Have fun.
