When I left home there was some sunshine. But not when I arrived on the Schallenberg pass, which is some 30 miles from Bern, Switzerland.

In summer, you couldn't find a place in this parking

Eggiswil is just down the Schallenberg pass. In summer the scenery would be fantastic

Please don't complain about about the scenery when your roads are like that  Angry

 Wink waytogo

How high is that and what are the road conditions on the higher passes these days?

At 1167m the Schallenberg is not a high pass but the scenery is great.
As of today, all Swiss passes are still open and we are having a beautiful sunshine.
But autumn is here and we won't always have nice weather.
This is another photo on Gurnigel Pass (1607m) in summer.
