Overflowing carbs is also a sign of rooted float valve O-rings.

If I go inside a set of carburetors, I fit new ones just on principle.

Well bugger me!!  Shocked

Melbourne Ducati (Frasers) had these jets in stock would you believe!?

(A bit late on this one…)

Last time I needed needle jets, I dropped in at Frasers 'cause I was going past.

They only had ONE in stock. You know, for all those single carb Ducatis that you see around Sydney...

"So, do you want to take this one? We'll order you another one, it'll be 6-8 weeks…" - Ummm, no. The internet will send me two for less money that you're asking for one, and they'll probably be here before next weekend.

(Hell, even the SuperMonodidn't need one needle jet - it was fuel injected, and I suspect Mikuni CV parts don't help much for any of the pre-74 single cylinder Ducatis…)
