Nevada Engine Mechanic?

This is an aside to my 696 street tracker thread. I didn't want it to get lost in the general topic because its super important to me.

I've torn the bike completely down and want to make sure the engine is in top shape before I start reassembly/mockup. I also want to refinish and/or recolor most or all of those parts--the possible exception being the center cases. The mechanics of the lump are important because this baby shows a lot of signs of having been "rode hard and put-up wet" as the cowboys say.

I could likely handle the job with some step by step help that's no doubt available here, but its really not my bailiwick and would rather focus my attention on the fabrication side. I know a guy I trust a LOT, Tim, who owns Imperial Sportbikes (http://www.imperialsportbikes.com). He's a great source for used Duc parts and an all round great guy. Problem is, he's in Denver and I'm in the middle of Nowhere Nevada. I'm thinking shipping is going to add too much to the cost.

SOOO....Anyone know of a good Duc mechanic in the Reno area? (I don't trust the Ducati shop there farther than I can throw a Super Glide) Sacramento is about 3 hours away, so that area is a possibility too. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Like maybe, take the heads/jugs off and send things separately? Maybe even to separate people? I haven't felt comfortable working on a top end since my 2 stroke days, so I'm a bit concerned about screwing up all those new fangled belts and gears and whatnots. I'm sure I'm making too big of a deal out of it, but I just want it done right.

Let the suggestions fly! I in your expert hands...

Do you know the DynaReno shop on 4th street?  Former Ducati dealer for decades before the big box stores took the franchise away.   The owner, Ed Lacruze, was a great Ducati mechanic but passed away a year or so ago.  His son, Chris runs it now but is only open Fridays and Saturdays.  Not sure of Chris' wrenching ability but he should be able to recommend someone.

I will ask around too.  I do all my own work, so I'm not up to speed on local mechanics.

I know nothing about Reno but can give advice if you want to come to Sacramento.
http://www.aspowersports.com/  Great Ducati tech and everyone I have met there is really nice. 2 hours from Reno.
