I went to charge my battery today and I noticed the foam cover that goes over the air filter and under the Gas Tank is missing.l It may be at the shop.

1. Is this really necessary? Will the bike breath better without it?

2. If the shop can't find it, are they available for replacement?

It's a sound reducer - listen and decide if you want it.

Available as a separate part.

Cool Thanks. I just called the shop and confirmed that it is a sound reducer. I already have loud-ass slip-ons so thats not the issue.

And it also explains why my bike sounded "wierd" today. I think I was hearing the engine as well as my pipes.

Ddan: If I don't get it back, I'll ask you for yours.

Thanks!!
