Experienced some strange electrical/lighting issues over the past couple of weeks:
*  Turn on bike when cold and the headlight doesn't turn on.
*  Turn on bike when cold (with high beams off) and the blue indicator light on the cluster is on.  It will turn off after a few seconds, or maybe flicker.
*  Clock resets to 0:00am.
*  Headlight/high beam will turn on after ~5 minutes of riding.  During the 5 minutes, it will turn on and off a few times.

I have a warranty through Ducati, so I took it there (Ducati of Newport Beach, CA), but was curious if anyone else experienced anything.

In addition, they should be repairing the slightly warped front rotor.  Hopefully I get it back soon.  I hate driving in LA traffic (my commute is 100 miles a day).

Update...

Got a call back from the dealer.  They had to replace a relay that went bad.  They said it has happened a couple of times so far that they have seen on the new 2011+ 696, 796, and 1100.  They also mentioned something to do with the ABS on the rear.  A screw started to back out and damaged something.  They are replacing the entire caliper in the rear, but the part doesn't come until Friday.  The front brake warpage is still within spec, so they said to bring it back in when it gets worse.  I do have a full warranty after all for quite a bit longer.

I'm happy it's all covered, but I'm a little mad that I have to add 500 miles to my car this week.   :P

The headlight problem is very similar to one I've had with my 796.  Turned out it's a faulty headlight connector (the one you disconnect to remove the whole headlight assembly).  I've now packed it with dialectric grease to see if that fixes it.  The symptoms are almost exactly the same as yours with the exception of the clock reset which is a whole new ball game.  Just something to think about if the "relay" situation doesn't work out.

Sounds like a short was created by whatever they are replacing.
Thanks for posting and I am going to keep an eye on mine.

Interesting...I thought the newer gen monsters didn't use relays, it was all handled by the ecu and/or instrument cluster.  Or so I have read...

New generation Monsters have a headlight relay, older Monsters power directly from the switch.  There are also more than one owner who have encountered the same harness problem as cyberswine.
