Hello Everyone,

It is a long shot but would anyone happen to know the specs I could give my local Fastnel to get a bolt that would work here (circled in red)? I've searched and have not found info on it.

One night after school my bike wouldn't start I checked it out and saw the kickstand safety cable was broke. I was lucky enough to find a paper clip laying not 3 feet away from me and jumpered the connector so I could be on my way. I didn't really look into why it broke as it was cold/raining and I just wanted to be on my way.  Looking at all the (oil?) all over the place I thought maybe there was a crack somewhere due to having all the weight of the bike on the one bolt left holding the stand but haven't found a leak yet... So there is that too but since I have not located a crack I'm trying to fix this before I do notice one...

Worst part is when packing up I saw the bolt laying on the ground but after looking my bike over decided it didn't belong to me  [bang]
Thanks for any help you might be able to provide!

I think it is an M10x1.5, for length measure the depth of the hole and get one shorter.  Measure the diameter of the hole to be sure.  Sometime in the future you want to get the bolt from Ducati, it has a unique head.  You might want to call your dealer and see if he has one in stock, you might get lucky.

Get the bike on a rear stand or figure out how to support the bike safely meanwhile.

Thank you! I unfortunately don't have a local dealer/shop but I will try to find someway to contact one and maybe have the OEM part shipped to me once I figure out a part number. I found this thread (http://www.ducati.ms/forums/77-sport-classic/136207-missing-kick-stand-bolt.html) where the same thing happened to someone with a GT1000. They give a part number but I wasn't sure if it would be the same/haden't thought to measure the inside of the hole and such when I found it.

Go to "Sponsor" on this site.  Click on Commonwealth.  They are a dealer with a huge inventory.

Bolt is part# 77110481A.
Shows up as ~$2 retail at a dealer.

Oddly enough, it also is listed as an M10x25 in the description, one of the few times I've seen that helpful info from Ducati.

So, a socket head cap screw M10x1.5, 25mm long.

And, as Howie said, use a rearstand or other support, the bike leaning on the one remaining bolt is unsafe all around.

Make sure the other bolt is tight also when you reassemble it.

Thank you! The both of you! I picked up an exact match for the bolt.
