996 swimg arm transplant

Would the swing arm from a 996 bolt up to 695? If so I've found a winter project!

695 is a dual sided swingarm...correct?

If you swapped the cases to the 620 Multistrada... or did some machine work on the ones you have.

It would appear that any of the SSS from the monster family will bolt up to the cases (including the new ones).  There are probably some funky suspension geometry differences between the 695 and the 796/1100, though.

S*R should work as a bolt on.

Got a swingarm for my 620ie 2002 a niceeee 996 with everything on, a showa mono for it too, everything from ebay; BUT I realized 3 things, 1: double vrs one sided swingarm, no comparison, you'll need not only suspension but rear tire, suspension arm-rock (which I have with the shock too), it's not a direct bolt but I would not change mine for it... because: new rearsets are needed too, so more money to the equation... 2: new exhaust needed too, remember can not have the same low or high mount, Termis in my case, because of the new rearsets, the rizoma for example, could manage to handle a S2R exhaust I think.. but anyway... mooooo money,
3: to mod a bike is one thing to play maths with dynamics and how everything could influence how the bike's handle is another thing and just remember, it could look "good" but it doesn't mean it's safe and no mod is worth a riders life...

so... my advice: keep your bike and if you really "need" a one sided bike, build one or get one; me, personally, I am inclined to build another one... if you like I could post here my "basis" list, only necessary parts to build, and run a "new" bike... everything from ebay since I run on low budget...
