Wut?

???

pulling out your key/lock ignition and replacing the unit with the ignition bypass toggle switch from Motowheels, so that you can just flip the power on, hit the starter button and zooom away.

http://motowheels.com/i-7774716-corse-dynamics-ignition-bypass-switch.html

what i am asking is, if anyone has an idea about installing some sort of a hidden or secret 'kill' switch that you could flip which would render the ignition bypass toggle switch (at the OEM key position) useless or inoperable, so that if some idiot comes along and turns on my toggle switch starter, it doesn't drain my battery because my lights will go on with the flick on the toggle.

let me know if i'm not being clear, i understand it's a weird thing i'm talking about....

THANK you for any advice  [evil]

He Man

thats a great idea until someone watches u do it and steals the bike.

those things are meant for track bikes.

Howie

You just need to run a second switch in series and mount it somewhere.  Not too far away though.  Also keep in mind more wire and switches means higher resistance.  He Man has a point about theft.  IMO, you should either spend the the money on a new ignition switch (you are already $60 plus the cost of another quality weather proof toggle switch and wiring) there if you buy the Moto Wheels kit) or post up in "Parts Wanted" and look on Fleabay for a used one.

theft deterrence has been considered & is not going to be a problem, but thanks!  :)
just for the record, key or no key, your bike can be stolen at any time by even just an amateur thief.

thanks Howie....yes i am going to mount the second switch as close as possible to the first switch but still be able to be hidden, so length won't be a problem.  will have to check on resistance, thank you for mentioning that....i hadn't thought about it.

re: ebay - yes i've checked it; there is currently a lock-set w/all the appropriate do-dads for $90.00 or something.... i was going to purchase it right away, but i wanted to play around with the toggle idea.  i like to do little experiments like this just for the sake of doing them.  in the end i will go back to the lock set ignition.

anyway.....thanks for the help guys.
