Good people,

Trying to find out any difference in intake manifolds between the carbed 750 and 900. I've heard the 750's are longer than the 900's or vice-versa. Ebay sellers tend to lump all these together as: "750SS/900SS/ 900SS/SP / Monster 750/900". I need a set with the double vacuum outlets to send with my heads for port matching and just want to make sure I get the correct ones. Bike is a '98 M900.

PS, if anybody's got a set to part with that'll work with please pm.

Thanks,

Yes, the 750 (more correctly, small case motors 400-750) are a bit longer, as the intake ports are a bit closer to the crankcase.

AFAIK, all carbie manifolds have the double vacuum ports.

There were some which only had 1 vacuum port on them but I don't know which bike got which.

You could always drill & tap them....

You only want one for the vacuum fuel pump and not run the vacuum tap, so one will do. Maybe two vacuum ports came with the advent of vacuum taps?

the 900 manifolds have a bend in them just out from the head to lower the carb spigot, whereas the 400 - 750 manifolds come straight out of the head.
