Chain master link help

I guess this old dinosaur just don't get it.  Been riding over 45 years - street, dirt, and comp.  Have ridden over half the world.  Have owned over 37 motorcycles.  Never seen one of mine nor anyone else's ever have a failure due to a master link clip failing or coming off.  Heard of folks cutting a strip from a beer can to 'safety' it on, but never seen it.

A lot of those bikes were 'brit-iron' and required a lot more maintenance than our current Ducatis.  Was sure nice to be able to remove and replace the chain easily.
