Here's the situation, I'm looking to tidy up my the brake line that arches over the front mudguard on my 2009 monster 696. It currently looks like this:

The line never sits in that cup shaped clamp since the mudguard moves around during riding and there is not top to the clamp. However the other day I noticed the 2012 models come with a diffrent designed clamp that wraps all the way around the cable both above and below it. This holds the cable snugly to the front mudguard and looks much cleaner.

Now the problem. I went to order the that clamp from the dealership and they told me that piece cant be ordered individually, I must order a whole new mudguard to get the piece. We'll I'm not trying to by a new mudguard just for a simple cable clamp. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on this cable clamp? Hell, if a forum member has one hanging around I'd make it worth your while.

Thanks for the help.

I might be able to help you out. I think I have that clamp on my wife's bike and have different routing and don't use it. Let me see if I can drill the rivet out. I'll get back to you in a day or two.

When I bought my carbon front fender I had to transplant the brake line clip over.  It is pretty easy if you can find one.  Just drill it out and put a new pop rivet through it.

Thanks DucNaked, message me when you get around to removing the clamp, I really appreciate it.
