Seems to be a slight dearth of info on the subject.

what are our options? can any of those cheapo ones from places like JC Shitney work?

would something like this following link work? I really dig this one:

real men don't wear speedos...

Other than that, I see nothing wrong with that gauge.  I don't know what the drive ratio is on the mechanical gauge monsters, though.

Then that particular gauge won't work. 
" *The speedometer ratio is 60MPH @ 2240RPM." 

and at 2:1 with the 17" front the Duc tire is in the vicinity of 1600RPM at 60MPH

Is this true?? I have been asking around and posting up but no one seems to know the ratio. I can't stand the bulk of the stock speedo, and I cut the dash off mine!
