Did a quick search but could not find what I was looking for.

My brother just picked up a 93 ducati 900ss. It needs a new clutch slave. Shopping around I see that there are 28mm and 30.5mm clutch slaves. Does it matter which one i get?

The 30.5 will take less effort but won't push the pressure plate as far so, if there's any warpage in the old clutch plates, you may experience clunking going into first or neutral might become harder to find.
Personally, i'd go with the 30.5 because it's a lot easier in traffic.
You MUST get a bleedable banjo bolt to put on the master or you'll never get all the air out of one of these lovable old SOBs. Trust me on this! Motowheels or Ca-cycle stock them.
Don't forget to clean and lube the clutch lever pivot.
