Just put new tires on the 2000 Monster 900.  Haynes Manual only gives torque settings in Newtons or something--not what my torque wrench reads in!

Does anyone know the proper torque settings in foot pounds for the front and rear axle nuts?

Also, do you use a thread lock?

Thanks!

That should be "torque" in the title!

You may want to try an online conversion calculator.  For example, I found the following:

I don't mean to sound harsh but really!? Your making a thread because you don't know what N/M "Torgue" converts to Ft/lbs.  You obviously have internet access and you've heard of Google right? C'mon

No threadloc, but you should use grease.

ft-lbs = .74 x Nm

Thanks!  I posted to get assistance on the question and you provided it.  [beer]

I guess I could search Google for an answer as Stormtrooper suggested, but I figured someone here would already know it or have a manual that provided the torque setting in foot pounds.  Odd that Haynes doesn't do that.
