Last year 2 things occured.

1. I started doing track days
2. I bought my first new helmet in a while (Arai RX-q)

My problem: With my tracksuit my helmet hits something at my upper back... don't know if it is the collar of the track suit or the hump or both. this causes issues in looking up and also with looking left and right while looking up. This is both unsettling and uncomfortable. I also found on my old street bike (RIP M1100S) that the new RX-Q rubs side to side on the shoulder pads... and in a worste case scenario acts like a door stop to my helmet!! My old Arai Quantum2 and newer Schuberth helmet doesn't rub but still have the same issues with the track suit.

I'm short - 5-5 on a good day and i wear a xs/s hemet size.

What can i do about this?! I would like to have free head movement on the street and at the track.

Thanks in advance!

I wonder if changing the ergos on the bike (riding position) will help. Or maybe the suit isn't fitting you well and there's a lot of material bunched up near the neck while in riding position. Can probably be fixed with some leather work.

How's the 749 treating you? At 5'7" myself, I'm finding it hard to flat foot and walk it up even the slightest incline unless I'm off the bike.

I haven't been able to flat foot a bike since... well my 50cc scooter. lol

I have to get on and off with the kickstand down... then a tip toe push up to verticle... then it is all tip toes from there.

Backwards... lol... I get off and push.

Talked with Lizzy... gonna take pics and get some measurements for the track suit. Then go from there.

I will need to still work on the regular jackets with the RX-Q. I think the jackets are rising above my shoulders. I hope i won't need to do custom leathers all around!

It just seems to be the newer helmets.

I wonder if there is an issue in adding some padding to the top of the helmet so it rides slightly higher? Any dangers in this?

Yup, I have the "short"/ no neck issue. the back plate in my street gear interferes with my helmet! It sucks!
