Fellow I am acquainted with was hospitalized -- in a coma currently.

His name is Tom B.  I cannot find anything about it in the news.  It would have been in the Fairfax/Springfield area.

I think he rode a Yamaha or Suzuki.  Young guy, about 25 yo.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

This happened yesterday? I know about 2 weeks ago there were to separate days of motorcycle crashes. One guy got hit and run by an 18 wheeler.. didn't make it :(

No, about 1-2 weeks ago.  This is a professional connection.  I don't know any more details.

Thomas Bowers passed away last night at Inova Fairfax.

He was injured when a driver in an SUV turned in front of him -- he had the right of way and was not speeding.

Damn! Sorry, condolences to family & friends.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.
