A few months ago I posted some pics of what my 695 had morphed itself into. This is an update on my project which is finished (almost . . . )
This is my take on what direction the 695 would have taken if the 696 was not introduced. I tried to keep the bike as "stock" as possible and have modified as such. The following is the modification list to date:
Front-end:
*Woodcraft 1.5 raised clip-ons
*ST3 top triple painted satin black
*2004/2005 GSXR 600/750 forks/brakes with Ohlins springs
*S4 rim
*320mm discs
*Brembo master cylinder off an Aprilia RSV
*All spacers made by Some Dude (Thank you!)
Engine:
*Quat-D ExBox ceramic coated black (thanks NoisyDante): mass centralization pre-Panigale
*Open airbox and K&N filter
*ECU tuning via Ducati of Dallas
*14 tooth front sprocket
Rear-end:
*S4 rear rim
*Ohlins shock (46HRCS –yes this is made for an ST2/4 and it works great on the Monster)
*Corsair billet axle adjuster plates
*39 tooth rear sprocket
*748 adjustable ride height rod
Carbon:
*GSXR front fender
*Side pods
*Custom gauge cluster "topper"
*Ignition cover
Other:
*LED integrated tail light
*LED Oberon front mini turn signals
*Oberon foot pegs
*Oberon clutch slave cylinder
*Billet front sprocket cover
*Rizoma knockoff “retro” mirrors
*TechSpec tank pads
*ProGrip 717 handlebar grips
*Custom milled timing inspection
*Custom white gauge faces
*Custom gauge mounts
*Lowered headlight
*Custom made "695evo stickers w/clear coat
*Number plate w/clear coat
*Tail chop
This bike is fantastic. Sounds great, runs great, and in my opinion looks like what I should have received from the factory.
Now all I need is Suzyj's frame!
