I bought the Sargent seat and ordered the seat cowl which is supposed to be compatible, but it just doesn't seem to fit right, the hardware mounting brackets are not angled for a snug fit and no matter what I do I cannot get the cowl flush with the seat, looks terrible to see some tail (seat) under the cowl.   bang head  I was really looking forward to the look of the seat cowl but I fear I have to just send the cowl back because it doesn't fit the Sargent seat right, and I absolutely love the Sargent seat.  Someone suggested I could send my Sargent seat back and get it color matched, that is not exactly what I wanted but might be what I end up doing as a final solution.

I love to hear other people's success stories with the Sargent seat and cowl, I thought they were supposed to work together, so I am hoping it is just me.

Thanks. popcorn

it should fit... my sargent seat was rather snug fitting up to my OE cowl

if it's just a height issue, I'm sure you can bend/press the brackets so it sits lower

Thanks for posting up.  Are you saying you didn't have to bend your brackets at all?  It is totally a height issue, otherwise it does fit.  Reluctantly, I will need to bend those brackets to make it sit lower, it just annoys me that nothing is ever easy for me with this bike...

Don't feel bad.  I got a DP seat, and it didn't fit my DP carbon cowl for some reason.  I had to choose one or the other, and as nice as the seat was, I sold it.

nope, didn't do a thing to it. exactly how high is it above the seat?

and don't worry too much about this one... try finding out that DOT4 burns a really pretty green following a shakedown run w/your shiny new rearsets  Grin

In my experience, nothing aftermarket ever goes on easily (well, once in a while); that's why we call in modding - cause it takes modification.  laughingdp However, my Sargent seat and cowl work together just fine...  Undecided
