2012 Ducati Monster 659 ABS Front Carbon Fibre Mudguard

Dear fellow Ducati Monster Forum members,

Received today my Carbon Fibre Front Mudguard for my 2012 Ducati Monster 659 ABS.

It is a genuine Ducati Mudguard (Ducati Part Number #969A03010B) but a word of caution! I removed the original mudguard to discover that it has a black plastic ABS Line Grommet (or ABS Sensor Cable Retainer as I like to call it) plastic riveted to the uderside of the mudguard on the left hand side. On further investigation I discovered that this 'grommet' has a Ducati Part Number of #75810591A.

I looked up the 'grommet' on the internet to discover they cost around $5.00USD + Shipping. I will be contacting my local Ducati dealer to see whether they can get on in for me with a view of 'bonding' it to the underside of my Carbon Fibre Fairing so that the ABS cable has something to clip onto. Without it your ABS cable will be free to be damaged or torn off by your front wheel - be warned!
