Found a great deal locally on CRG bar end mirrors I couldn't pass up. I originally wanted the lane splitters but whatever.
NEXT is going to be a tail tidy.

Because hypers with stacks and full tunes were running around 100 rwhp avg. I was hoping for 90-95 and in the end came up short.
Keep in mind though, I have no idea what a totally stock 1100 evo puts down so I don't have anything to compare to.
On the dyno at my shop...
EVO1100 Motor with a Single Spark 1100 (non evo) MAP from a Hyper with net 88rwhp.
Full tune for rideability with TPO Beast-R and slip on exhaust nets 93rwhp.
There was a map to get it up to 96rwhp but it didnt run very well.
This is without a PCV, and MM doesnt allow you to do much outside of fuel mapping.
So presumeably, with a PCV, and a full exhaust from the headers up 100rwhp is very attainable on the 1100EVO.
Im pretty happy with my 93rwhp though its smooth as make the beast with two backs. This is an S2R1000 with an 1100EVO motor.

Isn't this also because the hyper 1100evo got a lot of nice lightweight parts like flywheel, clutch basket, etc? Causing it to be smoother?

Thats great. I. was wondering how your S2R evo was going. So you reckon to go with the Beast R kit over an open airbox? My brother is considering the Beast kit. I'll have to tell him your results.

I thought they were different motors. the new 1100EVO (monster) has a lighter cases and a wet clutch. If it has hyper and the monster has the same goodies inside the engine, im not sure.
I do know the Monster 1100EVO motor has larger valves, hotter cams, and lighter internal parts. is it smoother? i havent ridden a stock one, so i don't know. After my tune though its REALLY smooth.
koko64,
Since my last tune, ive only put about 1000 miles on it and tons of wheelies (ahem wheelie attempts). I the only reason i say go with the beast R is that the top end IMHO has a lot more room for improvement because of the bigger valves, and the hotter cams as well as the upped rev limit. Its got significantly better top end rush than the original DS1100 motors. I am still on the hunt for a multi 1100 so i can do a swap, yea its the same CC but totally different motor!!!

Its not inline four smooth, but its slightly smoother. Turns out after having done some research, lighter internals (crank, rods, flywheel, clutch basket, etc) will actually lead to a less smooth engine. However, it will spin up much faster as it isnt trying to turn as much weight.
"The 1100 Desmodue Evoluzione engine's crankcases are vacuum cast using the same Vacural technology used for the latest Ducati Superbike engines, saving weight.
In addition to the new magnesium alternator cover, the Ducati 1100 Desmodue Evoluzione engine now has a lighter crankshaft assembly, using an 848-style Superbike flywheel, and the search for further weight reduction even went as far as using lightweight rare-earth magnets for the generator assembly."

Are there that many differences between the 1100 evo motors? Or is that compaired to a DS1100?

Apparently both the monster 1100 evo and hypermotard 1100 evo use the desmodue evoluzione. The difference being the hyper got a dry clutch set up for the evo and evo SP models. The DS1100 is a totally different engine which actually quite surprising to me as I thought they just redesigned the heads for the evo. That being said, I wonder what it would take to get the hypers dry clutch set up in the monster.
I still wonder though why the hypers are able to make better power? Is it because the Siemens Ecu sucks for tuning compared to Magneti? Is the DS1100 a better engine for high HP tuning? Or maybe they just used a more expensive stacks kit that has a bigger trumpet. I don't know. As long as I'm not getting stuck in stop and go traffic she purrs. I was able to pull the front end up under hard acceleration shifting in 2nd.
