I've noticed some members of the 2nd gen monsters--696, 1100, etc.-- have had success using s4r(s) rearsets with minor modifications.  I also noticed that on the cyclecat website, the drs53 is listed as the rearset for all these models.  However, during my exploration of rearsets I have found that there are many companies that have made rearsets for the 2nd gen monster but not for the s4r(s), and additionally do not mention compatibility of the parts between these monsters.

So i'm curious if anyone has experience or knowledge of whether these rearsets (made for the 2nd gen monster) work on an s4r(s)?

Just to update this thread in case it is helpful for anyone, it looks like S2R/S4R/S4Rs have similar mounting points as the 2nd gen monsters.  Although I do not have any firsthand knowledge, from my research it would seem that the rearsets are compatible, albeit with a few simple modifications.

The major differences rearsets between the generations are that the 2nd gen monster have mounting points for the passenger pegs directly on its rearsets and possibly a different length for the brake line.  (See http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=48449.0 & this apparently applies to Rizomas as well http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=42718).

If anyone has more specifics or firsthand knowledge, please chime in.

When I put on the Rizomas I had to lengthen the line from the reservoir to the master cylinder.  Other than that they fit great on a 2013
