How does your speedo/ dash mount? I'm looking at purchasing an upper triple designed for a SC coupled with a Motowheels headlight clamp for the lower. The upper has no accommodation for the speedometer... so I'm thinking whatever design you use would be my solution for both. Another form of the same question is how do you mount your dash when doing away with the factory U bracket? The parts manual doesn't give me the exact answer I need.

Thanks

I've got a sport1000S, I can take some pictures of how those gauges are mounted later today if you think it will be helpful.

Yeah that would be great, thanks 77.

Out of curiosity, do you live somewhere between Cleveland OH and Charlotte NC? just guessing because of your screen name.

2006 Sport 1000: The gauges attach to the top of the headlight U-bracket. The U-bracket also attaches to the bottom of the front side of the triple via a small offset bracket.

Ignore the diamond plate. It's a bracket for the switch and relay for my heated grips.

Those U brackets for SC's are almost impossible to find.

Oops, I totally forgot about this, I will post my images tonight.  As for the username, no I live in WI.  The 77south refers to the year I spent at McMurdo Station Antarctica at 77 degrees south latitude.
