I know a number of members have swapped rearsets between 696/796/s2r/1100 etc. etc. - I'm swapping out mine for a new rearset after a small tumble jacked up the brake pedal mount - just curious about how to go about removing the rubber mounts from the old rearset?  any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The one that has the main mounting bolt go through does not come off, the 2 smaller ones just push out. They take a healthy shove, butt they are not too difficult.

Soo i finally got that bushing - is installing it as simple as pressing it in when I tighten down on the bolt on the bike, or does it get installed before I put the rearset on the bike?

any tips would be appreciated

Barney,
I have done numerous swaps on this level.  I also have numerous spares.  I powdercoat all of them as well.  As previously stated, the larger (1.25" rubber with internal metal bushing) does not come out without destruction....the smaller do push out.  Degreaser/spit helps to remove them though.  Let me know if/what issues you have.  I can help with the rear spacer piece on the alternator side as well.

Definitely install all bushings prior to torque on the bike...

I finally got it all sorted.  Thanks!
