Bike won't fully power off

I have an '05 M620.  It got rained on and the dash got wet.  I dried it out and everything ran fine for a couple days and now when I shut the bike off (power off, key out) the right turn signal starts blinking, and the mileage and engine temp doesn't disappear from the display (although the backlight shuts off).  Everything else seems to be normal, and the bike acts normal when the ignition is set to on.  If I disconnect the battery it fixes it for a bit.  Is the dash busted or could there still be water in tie ignition, or something else?

I disassembled the cluster down to the circuit board and left it in a bag of rice for a week.  If there's still water in there I don't know how to get it out.

disconnect and see of the problem persists, if it does then the problem lies elsewhere, also try a blow drier

Water inside was the probable cause.  Drying it out is far from a guaranteed fix.

Look for corrosion on the board and clean it. You may get lucky.

Mine had a permanent turn signal on under power. Even after I cleaned the corrosion off of every spot I could see.
M620 turned M800 but then back to M620 after the M800 died at 110k, and now to Multi 1000.

I have a similar issue, just that my dash hasn't get wet  . . . I just connected the turn signals of the integrated tail light and it started happening . . .turn ign off and rh turn signal blinks about 5 times, 2 slow 3 fast

Thorn: did you end up replacing the cluster?  There seems to be a lot of BS that goes into that: reflashing the ECU, finding a new cluster, having the mileage reset.  What was your process?

After I was positive I cleaned everything I could and it still didn't work, I found a used cluster, got my ecu reflashed and have been happy ever since. Mileage doesn't get reset, you just have to write down what you are at and do any math necessary.

I'd confirm before going down that road that there is nothing else you can. Speedo/tach needles have plagued me on both clusters. But if it helps, I sold my clearly stated broken cluster for $80 with cracked lens glass and all. That was over half what my replacement cost.
