So my chain popped off last Saturday. Recently got a new rear tire installed and hadn't been keeping an eye on the axle nuts. Well, the swing arm got a little scored and I was able to get the chain back on and adjust it back close to spec as I could.

Got back on to ride it, and it makes a steady chucking noise. Pretty sure it's coming from when a certain point of the chain reaches the rear sprocket.

This is the certain point.

Tried to get the photo to show it clear as I could, but anyways, this link is bent.

Went to check the rear sprocket, and it looks like this.

I have both sprockets and a new chain coming in the mail now. I guess I just wanted to hear second opinions on my situation from guys with more experience. Do you agree with my theory for the source of the chucking noise?

Also, will be installing the sprockets and chain myself. Any tips or pointers from experience? I've read up quite a bit, and think I should be ok. Fingers crossed. I'm a little bit worried about overtightening the master link, but I suppose I should just be careful with the whole process.

PS. Oh yea. Bike is around 24000 miles and I bought it with around 21000 in May. It's my first bike and I'm loving it. Even if it is a bit expensive.
PSS. I should get a truck.

You're on the right track, chain is fuxxored.
Replace entire driveline.

Make sure they didn't get the conical axle spacer in backwards, or even leave it off completely.

After you've got it all reassembled, remember to snug up the adjuster bolts.

Take the brake caliper off of the bracket for the wheel removal/install.

I love to see advice like this, because it's so damn good, and so damn simple.
