Sylvain Barrier was replaced by Ayrton Badovini.

This race was the deadline for homoligation. Some of the smaller teams made big changes to the bikes and systems.

It looked like EBRs brake system may have not been cutting the mustard. Canepa looked to have a regular brake setup on his bike.
