Since you got poor mileage out of the first clutch pack I would suspect either you have insufficient clutch lever free play or riding style/conditions.  Your free play should be 1.5-2mm. at the lever.  Err on the side of too much.  An overfull fluid reservoir can cause this too.  And koko is correct about weak clutch springs.  The repair manual will give you a length and they should be straight and square.

ive had an overon slave and asv levers installed.  I have 0 freeplay! is this the culprit?

Yes.  If  it slipped long enough your clutch may need  replacement.
