I'm new to tooling with / installing accessories in bar ends. My bike came with a Rizoma weight on one end, and a Rizoma mirror on the other.

I took them off, both of which had different mounting techniques. I'm now trying to install Napoleon Bar End mirrors. The only thing included in the package was the mirror, an allen wrench and two large-diameter bolts. One is counter clockwise, one is reverse counter clockwise.

I found posts saying the Napoleons require shaving of the rubber mount, however I think the stock mounts (if there were any) are long gone with the previous owner.

I'm curious if these are universal pieces, or perhaps all are one-off? Is it something Cyclegear will have a solution? Just seems weird that the Napoleons didn't come with bar end receiver/mounts, just the mirror and screws.

Thanks for any guidance. Photos here. http://imgur.com/a/fajvR#1

One photo shows the mirror attached to the default post on the handlebar using the large bolts provided by Napoleon. However no rubber expander type item came to attach inside the end of a bar. Bar end mirrors came with no bar end mount

I think you got the wrong mirror.  Sad Napoleon bar en mirror http://ducati-gowanloch.com/catalog/images/ap104_napoleon_black.jpg Looks a little different than yours....

i am looking for mirrors for my 02 S4 b/c the current rizoma mirrors move too much when riding over 80 mph..

post more pics of your mirrors to see how functional and nice they look.

Personally, I do not like bar end b/c they sit low and they widen the bike too much.

What other options did you look at? What store did you use?

Thanks
