 I never DID get to talk to Flo!!
However, those that I did have contact with were very helpful! I experienced a low side with my Bimota. It slid on its right side from prolly 30 or 40 mph and scraped the side pretty good. The carbon fiber bodywork has to come from Italy and is very expensive, along with the front turn signal and mirror. I didn't call them right away because I felt that I might be able to fix it, however after exploring several options nothing else made sense.
 I spoke with someone on Friday the 3rd of October, and an adjuster was at my house by the next Tuesday when the bike shops were open. That night he had an estimate and all that was left was establishing the value of the bike so they could decide whether it was repairable.
 Wednesday and Thursday were nail biters, but Friday I was given the numbers, and I get to save my bike! Now on Saterday I have a check for the bike and a check for my helmet and gloves!
  Dealing with Progressive has been very nice, and I am a happy customer!

$65 is 50% higher then I pay per month for a policy with 1M/1M/500K coverage. It's almost pointless to talk $$ in these theads as the variables are too numerous.

I think Flo is semi hot.

So, I pay $25 a month for my 1100 Evo with a $500 deductible... but I have Riders.  I've read bad things about them but had an experience with them that was neither good nor bad... but did end up with my first Evo being replaced with a brand new one after being backed into in a parking lot.

Thoughts on Progressive vs Riders?

as a word of warning, i would say the following about insurance repairs.

if the bike is insured, it must be fixed via the insurer.  don't try to do it yourself or not claim to save yourself money, etc.  if you have another crash or need to claim, etc, and decide to use them, they may charge you double excess, or tell you that the bike was damaged prior to the current claim and therefore it's value if written off is significantly less than you expect.

 In this case I was able to spend some time with the adjuster and was able to show him the enhancements that I had done. I talked with him about how much the bike mention to me and how determined that I was to retain it. When the end of the process came, it was him that gave me the option of either taking it to a shop or doing the work myself. As the damage was largely cosmetic I. Think he was comfortable allowing me the option.
 As it is, the bike will be as new when finished, and it looks like I will have an up grade in an aluminum fuel tank as well!
