efi to carb 900 motor

Tried the search function and didnt find much. Im eyeing a 2001 900ss engine. I know there are some issues to work around. Flywheel, regulator and ignition. Ignition Im thinking can be solved with an ignitech unit.
But what about engine  mounting bolts and swingarm pivot? My guess is that the mounting bolts and swing arm pivot are different sizes.

Im at a point now where I can buy a 900 but in looking on ebay I see low priced early 2000's with low miles and some 90's models that look a little thrashed with high-ish miles.
Spend converting an efi to carb that might have fitment issues or spend reviving an old motor that fits better...

'01 and later engines are 12mm engine bolts.

AFAIK all SS and Monster are same swingarm pivot.

You can use Carbie flywheel, may need to drill and tap for triggers, and will need to drill and tap for ignition passthru fitting.

ignitech will make you a unit to work with the ie engine's rotation sensor.  much easier than fitting other stuff.  drill the frame for 12mm engine bolts, you might need a longer one for the rear due to the original threading into the frame.

all the ss, monster and st engine cases are the same functionally.  pre 98 small blocks are 6 or 8 or so mm narrower at the engine bolt widths, so have a spacer on the rh side.  all swingarm pivots are the same.

Looked at ignitech. Are the units really only 150usd? Seems low compared to other units stateside.
