Removing '01 M900 top triple clamp?

Hi,

I'm trying to remove the top triple clamp on a '01 M900 Cromo and I need a little help.

I have things mostly apart.  All the parts are off, and I believe all the bolts are loosened/removed (4 pinch bolts on the legs, 1 pinch bolt on the stem, top stem nut, instrument mounting bolts).

I tried removing it, but it seems stuck and won't budge.  I know the fork legs slide in/out easily, and it is loose around the triple stem (I pried at the pinch bolt area and it is not stuck to the stem).  There doesn't seem to be anything else holding it on, except possibly the tubular bracket that supports the headlight.  The instrument mounting bolts screw into the triple directly above the bracket, not into the bracket itself, so I don't think the bracket is attached to the triple.

Is there a trick to removing the triple that I'm not seeing?

Thanks!

Opt 1: Use a rubber mallet and evenly tap from below . . .

Opt 2: spray some WD40 and let it run a little . . . Pull up from both sides . . .

Opt 3: Mix #2 & #1

Thanks!  I was able to immediately free it by removing the headlight loop bolts on the lower triple.  The upper triple and hoop cam out together.  It looks like the hoop is a press fit to the triple through those plastic bushings, and the bushings were seized to the roll pins.
