DS1100 cylinder heads, Monster vs Multistrada?

 I am in need of a vert. cylinder head for a Multistrada DS1100 motor, I have located one from a Monster, but the part numbers seem to be different. I would like to know if the heads from these motors are interchangeable. Does anyone know?

 Looking about it seems that the difference between the multi 1100 vert head and the monster vert head is the 2 letters at the end of the part number, multi ending in ab and monster ending in ca. As the book shows the complete head as having just the valve guides and seats, what do those different letters indicate?
