2013 M696 Seat Lock

I noticed my seat lock wasn't working, so I took off the seat and see this:


When I turn the key, it rotates, but nothing is really pulling on the cable that undoes the latch. What am I missing here? This is after a motodynamics tail tidy install last year. The seat lock worked for a while then stopped. Did something jiggle lose/fall out?

Any help appreciated, including a pic of your lock if you have the same tail tidy.

Thanks for the response! I think I found the piece you mentioned, tho I didn't know the name.



This is how a novice mechanic spends $70 xD. I think the good news is I can cannibalize the parts I need from a new OEM part and not have to use a separate key.
