Installed Ducabike slipper clutch; ran great for a day, now problems

   Hi all;

I installed a Ducabike 6 spring slipper clutch day before yesterday. Ran fantastic for a day, then last night I hop on to go for a ride and all hell has broken loose. Barely any action in the shift lever, not enough to shift without grinding...stalls with clutch lever fully pulled in...difficult or impossible to find neutral. It's as if there is not quite enough travel in the lever all of a sudden. The slave is not leaking and the master cylinder is topped off. Would appreciate some tips as to where to start looking...I'm a little sick and it's raining so I really didn't feel like dealing with this crap today.

See if the pressure plate moves when you pull the lever.

Sounds like it's not disengaging.

Moves just barely toward the end of the travel. Not enough.

If you have adjustable levers try them on a lower number.

It has to be in the clutch slave system somewhere.

You could try bleeding.

   I opened the bleeder and it seemed fine. But since I needed to install my new Ducabike slave anyway, I decided to do it now and re-bleed. As a side note, I got this:

And I will never bleed my clutch without it again. Normally it takes me forever and makes a huge mess, with this it took 5 minutes total to swap out the slave.

Anyway, the new slave fixed my problem. I guess the old one was somehow broken. **shrug**

How's that Dukabike Wet Slipper Clutch running? I've been looking at getting one for my Sport 1000s but a buddy of mine went through two that had problems (both installed by the dealer) so he advised against them. The other option is a used EVR Slipper Clutch which I've heard good things about but is a used EVR better than a new Dukabike is the question as they're about the same price. Speaking of the clutch install... how hard was it? If possible I'd prefer to do it myself if it's not too crazy hard and/or doesnt require any special tools.
